Mark Yarnell Mentor and Inspiration

"Do One Thing At A Time. Do It Right.
Finish It"  - Mark Yarnell

Today we lost a Legend in our Network Marketing Industry. I am very saddened. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Yarnell family.

Mark was a great mentor, an inspiration and one of network marketing's greatest success stories. He wrote that he felt a moral responsibility to mentor others like the network marketing pro Richard Kall unselfishly mentored him.

Mark quotes Albert Einstein who wrote something years ago that puts it in perspective for him: “Those with the privilege to know have the duty to act.” In the following video, Mark shares his plan simply and to the point.

Mark Yarnell Minute

If you are involved in Network Marketing, you are probably familiar with Mark Yarnell. After he became successful, Mark wrote a book to help others find success in Network Marketing. I was waiting for the book's release and grabbed it as soon as it was available.

Actually I bought several to give to my team. The book was "Your First Year in Network Marketing."

One thing I learned from the book was that my personal experience was not so unusual, and what to avoid as well as what to do.

In a future post, I will tell you how I knew Mark and what he told me he did to achieve his success.

Mark's latest book is How to Become Filthy, Stinking Rich Through Network Marketing: Without Alienating Friends and Family

A Broken Ankle

The following is from an E-zine called Mindful Moment. This really touched me and I wanted to share Patrick's message with you (with his permission).  Patrick wrote:

This week I broke my ankle.

I was at the neighbourhood playground with my wife and son and was
carrying my son back to the house. (For those of you who don't have a
toddler, when it's time to leave the playground, it often involves
carrying your child home amid cries of "five more minutes,
pleeeeease?") Since I had him in my arms, I couldn't watch the ground
and my right foot stepped just off the paved walking path and onto a
sloped surface. I went over on my ankle - CRACK!

A few days later, as I was sitting around with my throbbing ankle
propped up on a pillow. I was beginning to feel sorry for myself when
I remembered an aquaintence of mine who works with terminally ill
patients. A few weeks ago she lost her house in a fire. Everyone was
safe, but everything was gone. As I thought about her situation, I
felt foolish for feeling sorry about my ankle. I e-mailed her at work
to let her know that I was thinking about her and to wish her well
through her ordeal.

Her message back to me contained an even broader perspective. "This
(rebuilding from the fire) is a full time plus job that I never
applied for - with few benefits and many burdens. But every one of my
patients would still love to be me."

How's THAT for a change in perspective?

Ankle? What ankle?

Ordinary Miracle

Ordinary Miracle: Sarah McLachlan's song from Charlotte's Web Soundtrack:

Song lyrics:

It's not that unusual when everything is beautiful
It's just another ordinary miracle today

The sky knows when its time to snow
You don't need to teach a seed to grow
It's just another ordinary miracle today

Life is like a gift they say
Wrapped up for you everyday
Open up and find a way
To give some of your own

When you wake up everyday
Please don't throw your dreams away
Hold them close to your heart
Cause we are all a part
Of the ordinary miracle

Ordinary miracle; Do you want to see a miracle?

What The World Needs Now

If you are watching the news on TV or reading about it on the internet, the news media would have us be very worried. I am choosing not to buy into the panic that seems to be all around. Two quotes come to my mind that I would share with you.

Don't ask yourself what the world needs.
Ask yourself what makes you come alive.
Then go and do that.
Because what the world needs
is people who have come ALIVE!
~~Harold Thurman Whitman

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action and because there is only one of you in all of time this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how valuable, nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.
~~Martha Graham
